Chinese
Language and Culture Camp at Riverside
High School will be held by MCCC and Milwaukee school district from 9:00am
to 4:00pm on August 3 - August 7, 2009. This program is composed of a wide
range of learning activities in a fun environment with veteran bilingual
teachers.
Daily Chinese classes include basic reading, speaking and writing;
Art classes include Calligraphy, Brush Painting, and Origami;
Students will be introduced Chinese history, culture, people, places, and
events;
Other fun activities include Kung Fu, movies and cartoons from China;
Students can also enjoy indoor swimming at the pool.
Age: 1st to 6th Grade
Tuition: $150
Experienced bilingual teachers
Minimum enrollment: 20
MMCS Annual Summer
Picnic is scheduled on 6/13/2009 at Greenfield
Park (124th and Greenfield Ave) Site 3B, from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Buffet lunch will be served: barbeque, pizza, and
Chinese style side items.
All MMCS/MCCC members and families are invited. The event is also open to
families and friends from Cricket Academy and
ACSE. Online registration will be available to MMCS members, others will
register through email.
Fees:
Current MMCS students: free
Current MMCS teachers: free
Adults: $7
Children 5-11: $5
Children 4 and under: free
Register after 6/7/2009: $1 additional fee.

The
MCCC is recruiting volunteer leaders as MCCC representatives to
participate in the 2009 Holiday Folk Fair and to organize the 2010 Chinese New
Year Celebration at the Domes. This year, the Holiday Folk Fair will
take place from November 20th to 22nd in the Wisconsin
State Fair Park Exposition Center, and the 2010 Chinese New Year Celebration
will take place on February 6 at the Domes.

The Seminars on Financial Planning and Risk Avoidance Series is
scheduled in Room 176, Lalumiere Language Hall of Marquette
University, starting at 2:15 PM of each Sunday. Dr. Mingtao Jiang, who
is a Regional Representative of MetLife Financial
Services and serves as the Chief Editor of the Milwaukee Times and Paul
Tourville will give the presentations:

Asian Awareness Week at MATC will be the week
of Monday April 27 to Friday May 1, 2009. MMCS will
set up one Culture Booth and contribute two performances to support this
event.
